Save the Date for 2010 Ante Up for Africa and PPA Poker Tournament
Set to take place at the Hyatt Regency in Washington DC on April 14, the 2010 Ante Up for Africa DC Poker Tournament celebrates its fourth year of raising money and awareness for Africans in need. Expected to be in attendance at this event – along with founder and poker pro Annie Duke – are Host Committee Honorary Co-chair Senator Robert Menendez and other members of Congress.
Ante Up For Africa is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 by Don Cheadle, Annie Duke and Norman Epstein and through poker tournaments such as this has managed to raise more than $3 million for their partner organizations Refugees International, Enough Project and Darfur Peace and Development.
Registration for the event is now open and individuals can participate with a donation of $500, while corporations can buy half or full tables for $5,000 and $10,000, respectively.
