With Summer fast approaching, the 2010 World Series of Poker is drawing closer and closer and that means it’s time to pre-register for the fourth annual Ante Up For Africa charity poker tournament. Taking place before the Main Event kicks off, the tournament will once again attract stars of screen and felt for a little friendly competition in an event that has raised millions for Ante Up For Africa and their efforts in Darfur, Sudan.

Poker Pro Phil Gordon Wins with Runner-Up Shannon Elizabeth

The fourth annual Ante Up for Africa charity poker tournament took place July 3 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino as part of the 41st Annual World Series of Poker®, raising more than $275,000 to aid the victims of the humanitarian crises in Africa. First place went to professional poker player Phil Gordon, who won a total of $129,086 and donated 100 percent back to the charity.
